Turning One Post Into A Product Is Easier Than You Think
Spoiler: You’re 3 Steps Away From Your Next (or First) Sale
Most people overcomplicate the heck out of making money online.
Funnels.
Webinars.
Evergreen sequences that sound like they require an engineering degree.
Meanwhile, your next product—the one that could start bringing in real cash—might already be sitting in your drafts folder or even already published.
Seriously.
You don’t need a funnel.
You don’t need a 97-step launch plan.
You don’t even need a fancy logo.
You need one thing:
A decision.
A decision to stop posting just for attention...
And start posting with the intent to profit.
Here’s how simple it really is:
Step 1: Pick A Problem-Solving Post
Go back and find a post where you helped someone.
Maybe you shared 5 steps to grow a newsletter.
Maybe you broke down how you organize your content calendar.
Maybe you ranted about burnout and how you overcame it.
If someone messaged you “This helped a lot!” or you noticed it got saves, comments, shares... congrats.
You’ve already created value.
If it answered a question, if it eased a pain, if it gave someone a shortcut:
It’s product material
Step 2: Package It Fast
No need for a 37-page ebook that takes six months to finish.
Take the key ideas from your post and turn them into something tangible and useful.
A checklist they can print.
A short guide they can skim.
A simple template they can use right away.
A mini-training or screen share recording.
The magic rule?
Make it faster for them to apply than it was for you to figure out.
Simple wins. Fast wins. Real wins.
Step 3: Post It For Sale
Now this is where 90% of creators chicken out.
They start worrying:
“But it’s too small!”
“But it’s too obvious!”
“But it’s not perfect yet!”
Good news:
None of that matters.
People don’t want "perfect."
They want help.
So put a simple price on it.
$5, $9, $19—you pick.
Upload it somewhere simple: Gumroad, ConvertKit Commerce, whatever.
Post the link. Invite people. Smile when Stripe dings.
Done.
Here’s The Big Secret
Your words are already doing the heavy lifting.
You’re just one decision away from getting paid for it.
You don’t need to be bigger.
You need to be bolder.
You’ve got value sitting in your drafts right now, waiting to turn into dollars.
So the only question left is:
Are you ready to make your first (or next) product stupid simple, wildly fun, and crazy profitable?

yes, I think a lot of people have these obstacles including myself with a few of them. I just feel like I have to give enough value and then I give way too much value and then I should go up on my price but I know we need to start small just finishing up two products now will be ready to go by the end of the month.
Great advice, Jeff
