Content repurposing is the process of adapting existing content for use in a new format or medium.
I like to call content repurposing a form of hyper-sanity:
Using the same content in different ways to get great results
This can involve simply reformatting the content, or it may involve significant editing and revision to make the content more suitable for the new audience or purpose.
There are many reasons to repurpose content, including:
To reach a new audience: By repurposing content for a different platform or format, you can reach people who might not have seen the original content.
To refresh old content: If you have older content that is still relevant but could use an update, repurposing can be a good way to give it new life.
To increase the value of your content: By repurposing content in multiple formats, you can get more value out of the content you have already created.
To save time and resources: Creating new content can be time-consuming and resource-intensive. Repurposing existing content can be a more efficient way to create new content.
There are many ways to repurpose content including:
turning a blog post into a podcast episode
turning a video into a written article
turning a series of tweets into a social media post
turning an article such as this into a profitable digital course
The key is to find a new format or medium that will allow you to reach a new audience or add value to your content in a new way.
Thanks so much Liana for the RESTACK :-)
